First time here, great atmosphere and decor. We sat at the bar, and the service was top notch, fast, friendly and fun! We ate lite, just ordered the Asian Salad and a few beverages. Unfortunately only in town for one night otherwise this would be a go to regular place.

Went on a week night and was surprised at how busy it was, we ended up waiting about 30 mins for a table. Our server, Joey, was friendly and attentive. The drinks were good, they have a great selection. The food was delicious and came out quickly after we ordered. The brownie desert was a great end to the meal. Overall great experience, we will be back!

After a long day in Yellowstone and one of the worst dinners I've ever had yesterday in West yellowstone, this place is an absolute GO TO when in Bozeman. Literally every thing we ordered was top notch. Bison potstickers, Asian Ramen salad, smokehouse burger, and the creme brulee were all amazing. Our server Ella was also very attentive and recommended some of those items. VERY HAPPY with the quality of the food and the friendliness of our server. Makes me want to stay an extra night in town to go back and try some more of the menu. 10/10

I was told I needed to stop by the Montana ale works if I was passing through Bozeman and was pleasantly surprised at the deliciousness of the food and the beer. I had the bison potstickers with mango salsa and yummy! Paired great with the local pilsne.I also had the berry cobbler for dessert and it was just a good as everything else, if not better. What a great experience.

Georgia was an amazing waitress. We listened to her recommendations and had two of the best steaks we’ve ever had. Her and the rest of the staff we interacted with were very friendly. This will always be a stop of ours whenever we’re in Bozeman

Great dinner at Montana Ale Works. The steak was cooked perfectly and the cornbread that came with it was incredibly good. The pork chop was also juicy and flavorful. Everything we ordered tasted great.
The bison potstickers were good, though the ginger flavor was a bit strong for my taste. Service was friendly and welcoming. Would definitely come back after a long day outdoors.

Amazing food and great service!
This restaurant is an incredible representation of Western cuisine. Everything we had was fantastic…we just regret not being able to hold dessert. Bison potstickers were amazing, the meatloaf and veggies were about the best I’ve ever had, and the burger was great too.

We had a really great evening at Montana Ale Works. The schnitzel was surprisingly close to what you would get in Germany — crispy, well-seasoned and properly done. As a German, I was honestly impressed.
The sides were a bit more of an artistic interpretation, especially the red cabbage, but in a fun and creative way. Not exactly traditional, but definitely interesting and tasty.
The beer was absolutely sensational — easily one of the highlights of the evening. The desserts were a dream as well — rich, well made, and the perfect ending to the meal.
What really rounded off the evening was sitting at the bar with Courteney.
She was friendly, welcoming and made the whole experience feel even more personal.
Overall, a great place with excellent beer, good food and a very enjoyable atmosphere. We would definitely come back.

Atmosphere was great, food delicious. The staff seems to intermingle and help each other. Drinks were strong :) and food was delicious. Very fresh. The wait was 5 minutes and the food was was even quicker and they were busy. We had bison pot stickers, meatloaf with veggies, schnitzel with mashed potatoes, house margarita, huckleberry margarita, crème brûlée, and 3 berry strudel. It was all excellent.
